The Mechanical Engineering (ME) Program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) invites applications for
faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors) beginning in the Fall of 2012..

The Mechanical Engineering Program at KAUST has ten full-‐time faculty whose research falls into: Materials & Solid
Mechanics, Thermal Sciences, Fluid Mechanics, Combustion, and Control & Dynamics. The ME research program has strong
support from KAUST’s international research collaborators and advanced central research facilities. More

We invite applications from highly qualified candidates for faculty positions at all ranks. Priority will
be given to candidates with the research interests listed below:
- Combustion Experiment / Theory
- Computational Combustion Modeling
- Fluid Control
- Experimental Solid Mechanics
- Control of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems
Exceptional candidates in other areas of Mechanical Engineering will also be considered.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Candidates
should have the ability to pursue a high impact research program and demonstrate commitment to
teaching at the graduate level. Applications must include a curriculum vitae with publication list,
a research plan, a statement of teaching interests, and contact information of at least 3 referees.
