The ME Program

Overview

The Mechanical Engineering Program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is part of the Division of Physical Sciences and Engineering. The university campus is located on the Red Sea, 80 km north of the city of Jeddah. Research within the Mechanical Engineering Program spans several areas: composite materials, computational mechanics, combustion, turbulence, bio-physics, plasma physics and fluid mechanics.

Established in September 2009, the Mechanical Engineering Program comprises 7 founding faculty, research in 3 areas, 11 postdoctoral fellows, 43 students and 4 administrative staff.
